The St. Thomas More Cougars football team scored 49 points and held the host Alexandria Trojans to 21 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA). The Crusaders come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Brother Martin knocked off St. Paul's (Covington, LA), 23-10, in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Natchitoches Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 15. Alexandria will meet a Chiefs team coming off a 40-28 non-league loss to Opelousas (Opelousas, LA). The Chiefs record now stands at 1-1.
