Kansas High School Basketball - Hill City can't hold off Smith Center

February 1, 2019: Hill City, KS 67642

The Smith Center Redmen basketball team scored 38 points and held the host Hill City Ringnecks to 37 in the Redmen league triumph on Friday.

The Redmen now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Superior for a non-league contest on Monday, February 4. Smith Center will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 52-41 non-league loss to Sandy Creek (Fairfield, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-12.

The Ringnecks (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Ellis (Ellis, KS). The Railroaders enter the Mid-Continent contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, Ellis nudged Stockton (Stockton, KS), 57-43, in a league contest.
