The Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC) varsity soccer team won Thursday's home non-conference game against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC) by a score of 6-0.
The Mountain Island Charter Raptor soccer team scored 6 points and limited the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots to 0 in the Raptor non-league victory on Thursday.
Next, the Raptor face the Westminster Catawba Christian Indians (Rock Hill, SC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 1. Mountain Island Charter will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Indians enter the contest with a 2-6 record after their 3-2 league loss to Northside Christian Academy (Charlotte, NC).
The Patriots now have a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bessemer City for a Southern Piedmont 1A contest on Tuesday, April 2. Piedmont Community Charter will face a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 0-10.
