The Avon Braves softball team (Avon, NY), was routed 7-1 in Tuesday's non-league test with the host Keshequa Indians (Nunda, NY)
Coming up next, the Indians encounter the Le Roy Knights (Le Roy, NY) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, April 10. Keshequa will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Knights enter the test with a 2-1 record after their 8-2 non-league loss to Our Lady of Mercy (Rochester, NY).
The Braves (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Perry (Perry, NY). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league test with a 1-0 record.
Keshequa led of the scoring in the bottom of the first as Paige Mckerrow hit a two out single, stole second and scored on a single by Allison Galton. The Indians added three runs in the third inning with McKerrow delivering the big hit, a two run double. She then scored on a double by Galton. Avon cut the deficit to 4-1 in the top of the fourth as Parker Hughes led of with a single, Avon's only hit, and later scored on a ground out. Keshequa put the game away in the top of the fifth by adding three more insurance runs. Once again it was McKerrow and Galton in the middle of things as McKerrow walked and later scored and Galton singled to drive in her third run of the game and then later scored.
