The Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Gillespie Miners to 37 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Tigers now have a 11-15 record. They play next when they host Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia for a Western Illinois Valley outing on Friday, February 13. Greenfield/Northwestern will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 44-39 league win over North Greene (White Hall, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 16-12.

The Miners (2-25) will now prepare for their outing against North Mac (Virden, IL). The Panthers enter the South Central outing with a 20-8 record. In their last outing, North Mac ran past Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL), 73-34, in a league outing.
