The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mitchell Bluejackets (Mitchell, IN) and the host New Washington Mustangs (New Washington, IN), observed Mitchell's basketball team overcome New Washington by a margin of 40-29.

The Bluejackets (6-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastern Greene (Bloomfield, IN). The Thunderbirds come into the non-league challenge with a 4-10 record. In their last match, Eastern Greene thwarted Dugger Union (Dugger, IN), 58-35, in a non-league match.

The Mustangs now own a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Switzerland County for a non-league match on Saturday, January 17. New Washington will meet a Pacers squad coming off a 55-21 league loss to Southwestern (Hanover, IN). The Pacers record now stands at 7-11.
