Washington, DC High School Basketball - Maret thwarts Saint John Paul the Great Catholic
The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Maret Frogs (Washington, DC) and the visiting Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves (Dumfries, VA), observed Maret's basketball team knock off Saint John Paul the Great Catholic by a score of 56-44.
The Frogs (12-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Saint James (Hagerstown, MD). The Saints come into the non-league challenge with a 18-7 record. In their last challenge, Saint James prevailed over Georgetown Day (Washington, DC), 80-37, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Wolves encounter the Benedictine Cadets (Richmond, VA) in a VISAA Division I battle, on Wednesday, February 18. Saint John Paul the Great Catholic will attempt to advance on its 13-8 season record.
