In Monday's non-league test, the Tell City Marksmen (Tell City, IN) basketball squad defeated the host Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY), by a final score of 50-41.

Next, the Marksmen clash with the Boonville Pioneers (Boonville, IN) in a Pocket test, on Thursday, January 15. Tell City will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Pioneers come into the test with a 9-8 record after their 88-50 league loss to Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN).

With the loss, Hancock County falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Muhlenberg County (Greenville, KY) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 16. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 7-8.
