California High School Basketball - Torrance can't hold off Peninsula
December 17, 2015: Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274 The Peninsula Panthers basketball team scored 37 points and held the visiting Torrance Tartars to 32 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Panthers now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lawndale for a non-league match on Saturday, December 26. Peninsula will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 44-37 non-league win over Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Torrance moves to 0-4 on the year. The Tartars travel to El Segundo (El Segundo, CA) to meet the Eagles in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 6. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 3-2.
