Louisiana High School Basketball - North Central can't hold off Westgate
December 19, 2018: New Iberia, LA 70560 The Westgate Tigers basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting North Central Hurricanes to 59 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Tigers now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lafayette Christian Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, December 21. Westgate will battle a Knights team coming off a 72-66 non-league win over Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA). The Knights record now stands at 10-1.
With the defeat, North Central moves to 10-4 on the year. The Hurricanes travel to Rayne (Rayne, LA) to meet the Wolves in a non-league match on Thursday, December 20. The Wolves enter the match with a record of 7-6. Rayne lost 63-40 in their recent non-league match against Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA)
