September 27, 2019: Bakersville, NC 28705 In Friday's non-league match, the host Mitchell Mountaineers football squad scored a big 48-7 victory over the East Henderson Eagles.
In their next game, the Mountaineers clash with the Charles D. Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A match, on Friday, October 11. Mitchell will attempt to move on its 6-0 season record. The Warhorses enter the match with a 3-2 record after their 44-7 non-league win over Franklin (Franklin, NC).
