North Carolina High School Basketball - Middle Creek nudges Apex

January 31, 2018: Apex, NC 27539

Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Apex Cougars (Apex, NC), 46-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Middle Creek upgrades its record to 12-10 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Apex Friendship (Apex, NC) to clash with the Patriots in a South Wake 4A bout on Friday, February 2. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 12-6.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Fuquay - Varina Bengals (Fuquay-Varina, NC) in a South Wake 4A bout, on Friday, February 2. Apex will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Bengals go into the bout with a 6-14 record after their 70-48 league loss to Middle Creek (Apex, NC).
