The Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) football routed the visiting Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL), 40-8 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Comets face the Roxana Shells (Roxana, IL) in a South Central bout, on Friday, September 27. Greenville will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Shells enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 26-22 league loss to Vandalia (Vandalia, IL).

The Hiltoppers (0-4) will now prepare for their bout against Gillespie (Gillespie, IL). The Miners enter the South Central bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Gillespie walloped Southwestern (Piasa, IL), 33-20, in a league bout.
