Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO) and the visiting Palmer Ridge Bears (Monument, CO), saw Discovery Canyon's basketball squad knock off Palmer Ridge by a count of 49-33.

With the victory, Discovery Canyon upgrades its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO) to play the Rangers in a 5A/4A Pikes Peak challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Rangers come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Lewis-Palmer lost 44-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Legend (Parker, CO)

Next up, the Bears play the Vista Ridge Wolves (Colorado Springs, CO) in a 5A/4A Pikes Peak challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Palmer Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record.
