El Dorado Cougars (Placerville, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Dixon Rams (Dixon, CA), 71-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, El Dorado upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Union Mine (El Dorado, CA) to clash with the Diamondbacks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The Diamondbacks go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Union Mine won 50-44 in their recent non-league bout against Colfax (Colfax, CA)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Colfax Falcons (Colfax, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 4. Dixon will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 50-44 non-league loss to Union Mine (El Dorado, CA).
