In Friday's league match, the host Vicksburg Gators football squad scored a good 35-7 victory over the Neshoba Central Rockets.

In their next game, the Gators clash with the Lanier Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) in a 5A Region 2 match, on Friday, October 7. Vicksburg will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 0-6 record after their 47-0 league loss to Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS).
