Texas High School Basketball - Americas tops Montwood
January 18, 2019: El Paso, TX 79936 Americas Trail Blazers (El Paso, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX), 44-31 in a league bout.
With the victory, Americas upgrades its record to 21-7 on the campaign. The Trail Blazers host Franklin (El Paso, TX) to play the Cougars in a 6A Region I District 1 game on Tuesday, January 22. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 15-9. Franklin won 59-47 in their recent league game against Socorro (El Paso, TX)
With the defeat, Montwood moves to 10-13 on the year. The Rams host Coronado (El Paso, TX) to face the Thunderbirds in a 6A Region I District 1 game on Tuesday, January 22. The Thunderbirds enter the game with a record of 14-10.
