March 19, 2019: Alton, IL 62002 The Alton Redbirds soccer team scored 5 points and limited the visiting Southwestern Piasa Birds to 0 in the Redbirds non-league victory on Tuesday.
Next, the Redbirds face the Belleville West Maroons (Belleville, IL) in a Southwestern contest, on Thursday, March 21. Alton will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Maroons enter the contest with a 1-4 record after their 5-2 non-league loss to Granite City (Granite City, IL).
The Piasa Birds now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host East Alton-Wood River for a non-league contest on Monday, March 25.
