Ohio High School Volleyball - Northview crushed by Perrysburg
October 8, 2019: Sylvania, OH 43560 The Perrysburg Yellowjackets topped the host Northview Wildcats volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Tuesday's league test.
The Yellowjackets now have a 20-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maumee for a Northern Lakes test on Thursday, October 10. Perrysburg will confront a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Napoleon (Napoleon, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 15-6.
The Wildcats (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH). The Generals enter the Northern Lakes test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, Anthony Wayne was knocked off by Southview (Sylvania, OH), 3-1, in a league test.
Match Summary
SYLVANIA - Senior Night at Northview High School where four seniors from Perrysburg were honored along with the two seniors for the LadyKats, Hannah Frame and Tatum Lazar. As the match got underway, it was evident that the match would be tightly contested. Perrysburg was able to hold off Northview three sets to zero.
Leading for Northview was the two seniors, Frame with a team-high 13 kills, bringing her 17 away from 1,000 in her career. Lazar was able to chip in 9 kills in their final match at Northview. Defensively, Emma Dukate led with a team-high 14 digs, and Morgan Brixey was able to add 11. The offense was dictated by Clare Kwiatkowski who had 27 assists and 11 digs.
Northview plays in their final regular season match on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Anthony Wayne. JV starts at 5:00 P.M. and Varsity at 6:30 P.M.
