Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE) and the host Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE), saw Chase County's basketball squad wallop Perkins County by a count of 58-16.

With the victory, Chase County upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE) to play the Swedes in a C1 District 11 challenge on Friday, January 17. The Swedes come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Gothenburg won 38-32 in their recent league challenge against Cozad (Cozad, NE)
