Arkansas High School Basketball - England tops Cutter-Morning Star
January 11, 2019: England, AR 72046 England Lions (England, AR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cutter-Morning Star Eagles (Hot Springs National Park, AR), 57-48 in a league bout.
With the victory, England upgrades its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Maumelle Charter (Maumelle, AR) to play the Falcons in a 2A Region 5 South bout on Tuesday, January 15. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 12-11. Maumelle Charter won 48-43 in their recent league bout against Magnet Cove (Malvern, AR)
Next up, the Eagles play the Hazen Hornets (Hazen, AR) in a 2A Region 5 South bout, on Tuesday, January 15. Cutter-Morning Star will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 64-36 league loss to Poyen (Poyen, AR).
