Parkland Mustangs (Winston-Salem, NC) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the visiting Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC), 26-22 in a league test.

With the win, Parkland improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Mustangs host Western Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to confront the Hornets in a Piedmont Triad 3A test on Thursday, October 17. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 4-3. Western Guilford lost 46-0 in their recent league test against Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC)

With the loss, Southwest Guilford moves to 4-3 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC) to confront the Golden Eagles in a Piedmont Triad 3A test on Friday, October 18. The Golden Eagles go into the test with a record of 1-6. Ben L. Smith lost 55-12 in their recent league test against Dudley (Greensboro, NC)
