Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Leland Chargers (San Jose, CA) and the visiting San Mateo Bearcats (San Mateo, CA), saw Leland's basketball team triumph over San Mateo by a score of 67-44.

The Chargers now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Silver Creek for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 11. Leland will battle a Raiders team coming off a 47-36 non-league loss to Irvington (Fremont, CA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-3.

The Bearcats (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lick-Wilmerding (San Francisco, CA). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Lick-Wilmerding triumphed over Lowell (San Francisco, CA), 66-56, in a non-league contest.
