Texas High School Basketball - Strake Jesuit overwhelms West Brook
December 9, 2008: Houston, TX 77036 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Strake Jesuit Crusaders (Houston, TX) and the visiting West Brook Bruins (Beaumont, TX), saw Strake Jesuit's basketball squad trounce West Brook by a score of 79-38.
With the victory, Strake Jesuit improves its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Katy (Katy, TX) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 12. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-7. Katy won 60-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Northbrook (Houston, TX)
Next up, the Bruins battle the North Shore Mustangs (Houston, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 12. West Brook will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 53-36 non-league loss to Kingwood (Kingwood, TX).

Last night the Crusaders came back to the confines of home to face the Beaumont Westbrook Bruins and from the tip they didn't miss a step from their weekend trip. Getting out early, playing solid defense and finishing in transition helped the Crusaders to build a big halftime lead. By the start of the 3rd, the Crusaders opened up the floor and put away the Bruins early and often leaving no room for any type of comeback.
