Connecticut High School Basketball - Capital Prep overwhelms Gilbert
January 19, 2019: Hartford, CT 06103 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Capital Prep Trailblazers (Hartford, CT) and the visiting Gilbert Yellowjackets (Winsted, CT), saw Capital Prep's basketball squad wallop Gilbert by a tally of 71-43.
With the victory, Capital Prep improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Trailblazers travel to University (Hartford, CT) to confront the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 22. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 3-9. University lost 42-36 in their recent league challenge against Academy of Aerospace and Engineering (Windsor, CT)
Next up, the Yellowjackets confront the Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) in a Berkshire challenge, on Tuesday, January 22. Gilbert will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 85-42 league loss to Wamogo Regional (Litchfield, CT).
