California High School Basketball - Mountain Empire fells Horizon Prep

Mountain Empire Red Hawks (Pine Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Horizon Prep Lions (Rancho Santa Fe, CA), 47-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mountain Empire upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Red Hawks travel to Julian (Julian, CA) to clash with the Eagles in a Manzanita bout on Tuesday, January 29. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-11.

Next up, the Lions clash with the School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions (San Diego, CA) in a Pioneer bout, on Monday, January 28. Horizon Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record.
