Velma Jackson Falcons (Camden, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS), 64-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Velma Jackson upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Falcons host Provine (Jackson, MS) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Friday, December 14. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 6-4. Provine lost 88-71 in their recent non-league bout against Callaway (Jackson, MS)

Next up, the Gators play the Holmes County Central Jaguars (Lexington, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 20. Leake Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 67-38 non-league win over McAdams (McAdams, MS).
