North Carolina High School Basketball - Ledford nips North Davidson

January 7, 2015: Thomasville, NC 27360

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC) and the visiting North Davidson Knights (Lexington, NC), saw Ledford's basketball squad hold off North Davidson by a count of 56-50.

With the victory, Ledford upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Asheboro (Asheboro, NC) to play the Blue Comets in a 3A Mid-Piedmont challenge on Friday, January 16. The Blue Comets come into the challenge with a record of 12-3.

Next up, the Knights play the R.J. Reynolds Demons (Winston-Salem, NC) in a 4A Central Piedmont challenge, on Friday, January 9. North Davidson will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Demons come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 60-54 league loss to Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC).
