Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), 5-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Porter Ridge upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Pirates travel to Providence (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, March 30. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 13-1. Providence won 18-2 in their recent league test against Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology (Charlotte, NC)

With the defeat, Sun Valley falls to 3-7 on the season. The Spartans host South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Sabres in a non-league test on Thursday, March 28. The Sabres come into the test with a record of 8-1.
