Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX) and the host Summer Creek Bulldogs (Houston, TX), saw Cypress Springs's basketball squad hold off Summer Creek by a score of 66-59.

With the victory, Cypress Springs improves its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Panthers host Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 5A Region III District 17 challenge on Friday, January 4. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Cy-Fair won 41-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Katy Taylor (Katy, TX)
