New Jersey High School Football - Matawan Regional sneaks past Liberty

The Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ) football edged the host Liberty Lions (Jackson, NJ), 14-7 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Huskies face the Shore Regional Blue Devils (West Long Branch, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 25. Matawan Regional will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Blue Devils enter the bout with a 3-4 record after their 34-14 league loss to Raritan (Hazlet, NJ).

The Lions (1-5) will now prepare for their bout against Toms River South (Toms River, NJ). The Indians enter the Shore - Freedom bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Toms River South was nudged by Neptune (Neptune, NJ), 36-28, in a league bout.
