North Carolina High School Baseball - McDowell loses to R-S Central

In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers baseball team scored a nice 14-4 victory over the McDowell Titans.

The Hilltoppers (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans enter the 2A Southwestern contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Chase was overwhelmed by Huss (Gastonia, NC), 8-7, in a non-league contest.

The Titans now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Stephens for a 3A/4A Northwestern contest on Friday, March 16. McDowell will play a Indians squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Indians record now stands at 2-2.
