Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting East Chicago Central Cardinals (East Chicago, IN), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Governors now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hanover Central for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 13. Hammond Morton will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-1.
