Golden Demons (Golden, CO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Wheat Ridge Farmers (Wheat Ridge, CO), 48-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Golden upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Demons travel to Evergreen (Evergreen, CO) to play the Cougars in a 4A Jeffco bout on Tuesday, January 29. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Evergreen won 71-38 in their recent league bout against Conifer (Conifer, CO)

Next up, the Farmers play the Alameda Pirates (Lakewood, CO) in a 4A Jeffco bout, on Wednesday, January 30. Wheat Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 70-63 league win over Green Mountain (Lakewood, CO).
