North Carolina High School Basketball - Avery County crushes Mountain Island Charter

Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mountain Island Charter Raptor (Mt. Holly, NC), 64-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Avery County upgrades its record to 15-12 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to North Stanly (New London, NC) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 25. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 15-10. North Stanly won 56-49 in their recent non-league bout against Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC)
