The Amherst Central Tigers (Amherst, NY) basketball nipped the visiting St. Mary's Lancers (Lancaster, NY), 57-53 in Friday's non-league test.

The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their test against West Seneca East (West Seneca, NY). The Trojans go into the Section 6 Erie County II test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, West Seneca East got by West Seneca West (West Seneca, NY), 45-39, in a non-league test.

The Lancers now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Lake Shore for a non-league test on Friday, December 20.
