Maryland High School Basketball - Crossland knocked off by Douglass
January 11, 2018: Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 The Douglass Eagles basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Crossland Cavaliers to 27 in the Eagles league triumph on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Friendly for a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A contest on Friday, January 12. Douglass will battle a Patriots team coming off a 44-35 league loss to Surrattsville (Clinton, MD). The Patriots record now stands at 0-4.
The Cavaliers (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Largo (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Lions enter the Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Largo was defeated by Central (Capitol Heights, MD), 67-61, in a league contest.
