California High School Softball - Torrey Pines bounces Serra
March 20, 2018: San Diego, CA 92130 Torrey Pines Falcons (San Diego, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Serra Conquistadors (San Diego, CA), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Falcons now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Poway for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 21.
With the loss, Serra falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Conquistadors travel to Antioch (Antioch, CA) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Thursday, March 22. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 4-0. Antioch won 5-2 in their recent non-league match against American (Fremont, CA)

FALCONS BANG OT 14 HITS IN 7-1 WIN OVER VISITING SERRA.
The Torrey Pines Lady Falcons evened their season record at (4-4) with a 7-1 victory over Serra yesterday in a game played at Falcon field in Carmel Valley. Serra took a quick 1-0 lead on a bunt hit and a Falcon error but TP tied the score on an RBI ground out in the home 3rd. Torrey Pines broke the game open scoring 6 runs on 7 hits in the 4th inning to procure the win. Junior, Makena Macias went 3-4 with a Double, a Triple, a run scored and an RBI to lead the Falcon offense. Freshmen, Kaili Aqui also went 3-4 with a run scored and an 2 RBI's while fellow Freshmen Katie Walling added 2 hits, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base to help out in the victory. Chloe Balsiger went 2-2 with a sacrifice bunt for TP. Senior Kiley Rose improved to (4-0) in the circle by throwing 3 innings and allowing no hits with 5 strike outs. Junior, Haley White struck out 3 batters in the 7th inning for the winners.
