In Friday's league outing, the Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA) basketball squad beat the visiting Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA), by a count of 45-36.

The Cardinals (11-16) will now prepare for their outing against Yreka (Yreka, CA). The Miners go into the non-league outing with a 18-9 record. In their last outing, Yreka defeated West Valley (Cottonwood, CA), 51-38, in a league outing.
