December 27, 2017: Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 The Douglass Eagles (Upper Marlboro, MD) basketball felled the visiting Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), 45-36 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (4-0) will now prepare for their test against Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Leonardtown thwarted St. Charles (Waldorf, MD), 60-56, in a league test.
The Cavaliers now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Leonardtown for a Southern Maryland test on Wednesday, January 3. Calvert will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 48-27 non-league loss to Douglass (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 4-2.
