Virginia High School Basketball - Eastern Mennonite overwhelmed by Carlisle
February 2, 2017: Martinsville, VA 24115 The Eastern Mennonite basketball team (Harrisonburg, VA), was overwhelmed 77-18 in Thursday's league battle with the host Carlisle Chiefs (Martinsville, VA)
The Chiefs now possess a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roanoke Catholic for a VISAA Division 3 battle on Friday, February 3. Carlisle will confront a Celtics team coming off a 51-27 non-league win over Bath County (Hot Springs, VA). The Celtics record now stands at 10-4.
The (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA). The Gryphons come into the VISAA Blue Ridge battle with a 9-9 record. In their last battle, New Covenant was overwhelmed by Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA), 30-25, in a league battle.
