North Carolina High School Basketball - Smithfield-Selma knocked off by Clinton
December 11, 2018: Clinton, NC 28328 The Clinton Dark Horses basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans to 48 in the Dark Horses non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Dark Horses now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southern Wayne for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 12. Clinton will meet a Saints team coming off a 50-47 non-league loss to Northern Nash (Rocky Mount, NC). The Saints record now stands at 2-2.
The Spartans (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hunt (Wilson, NC). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Hunt was outscored by C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC), 55-51, in a non-league contest.
