The Northfield Norseman basketball team (Wabash, IN), was nudged 56-53 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Manchester Squires (North Manchester, IN)

The Squires now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Miami for a Three Rivers battle on Friday, January 5. Manchester will battle a Warriors team coming off a 53-48 non-league loss to Caston (Fulton, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 2-6.

The Norseman (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Tippecanoe Valley (Akron, IN). The Vikings come into the Three Rivers battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Tippecanoe Valley was nudged by Glenn (Walkerton, IN), 56-51, in a non-league battle.
