Game Summary

Last night, the Oak Mountain Eagles squared off against the Trussville Huskies to kick off the 2014 season. The hard work these boys have put in during the offseason and preseason was apparent from the start. The Eagles jumped out to an 8-0 first quarter lead and never looked back in a 21-0 victory. Offensively, the Eagles were paced by junior Jim Cline (4 goals, 5 assists), sophomore Jacob Jasinski (4 goals, 2 assists), junior Jack Bishop (4 goals) and sophomore Elijah Garrett (4 goals). Jack Jasinski added 2 goals and 4 assists, while William Seward and Matthew Marquet added 2 goals and 1 goal respectively.
The defensive unit was stifling all night. The Eagles only surrendered 4 shots on goal, all saves by sophomore keeper Rus McIntyre. Defensemen Walker Lacey, Jared Bullock, Cyrus Basseghi, George Shunnarah and Benton Moore caused problems for the Huskies offense all night.
