Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) and the visiting Mission Eagles (Mission, TX), saw La Joya's basketball squad overcome Mission by a tally of 87-79.

With the victory, La Joya improves its record to 21-3 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Vela (Edinburg, TX) to confront the Sabercats in a 6A Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, February 16. The Sabercats come into the challenge with a record of 10-14. Vela lost 61-47 in their recent league challenge against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX)
