Alabama High School Football - Evangel Christian victorious over Shiloh Hills Christian
September 24, 2010: Alabaster, AL 35007 The Evangel Christian Lightning (Alabaster, AL) football overcame the visiting Shiloh Hills Christian Challengers (Kennesaw, GA), 45-16 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Lightning face the First Assembly Christian Lions (Ashland, AL) in a Alabama Christian (8 Man) bout, on Monday, September 27. Evangel Christian will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Lions enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 22-16 non-league loss to New Life Christian (Millbrook, AL).
The Challengers (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Kings Way Christian School (Douglasville, GA). The Crusaders enter the GCAA (8 Man) bout with a 5-0 record. In their last bout, Kings Way Christian School thwarted Peoples Baptist Academy (McDonough, GA), 64-0, in a league bout.
First Quarter
Brandon MacKey intercepted a Shiloh pass which lead to a 15 yard run by Hayden Brown for the touchdown. Charlie Bell kicked the extra point. After four downs Shiloh punts the ball and Hayden Brown returned the punt 29 yards to set up a 3 yard run by him and Charlie Bell again kicks the extra point. On the following kickoff Charlie Bell recovers a Shiloh fumble setting up a 6 yard run by Josh Flanders and Charlie Bell again converts the extra point.
Second Quarter
Charlie Bell scores again with a 30 yard field goal. The Shiloh scored from 1 yard out. At the last minutes of the half Brandon MacKey ran 10 yards for the final touchdown of the first half and Charlie Bell makes the extra point to make the half time score ECS 31 Shiloh 0
Third Quarter
Pete Sullivan took the opening kickoff 70 yards for the first score of the second half. Charlie
Bell kicks the extra point. Shiloh scores again with a 28 yard run.
Fourth Quarter
ECS's final score was a 18 yard pass from Nate Scott to Clay O'Neal and Charlie Bell kicked the
