January 2, 2018: Harlingen, TX 78550 The Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX), 80-62 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cardinals (20-5) will now prepare for their test against Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX). The Falcons go into the 6A Region IV District 32 test with a 19-5 record. In their last test, Los Fresnos notched a victory over Hanna (Brownsville, TX), 58-52, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 2-15 record. They play next when they host Rivera for a 6A Region IV District 32 test on Friday, January 5. Weslaco East will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 84-46 league loss to Weslaco (Weslaco, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 10-9.
