Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Horizon Honors Eagles (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils (Eloy, AZ), saw Horizon Honors's basketball squad overcome Santa Cruz Valley by a tally of 44-35.

With the victory, Horizon Honors improves its record to 13-10 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Tempe Prep (Tempe, AZ) to confront the Knights in a 2A South challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 9-11. Tempe Prep won 41-38 in their recent league challenge against St. Augustine Catholic (Tucson, AZ)

Next up, the Dust Devils confront the Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas (Maricopa, AZ) in a 2A South challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Santa Cruz Valley will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record. The Pumas come into the challenge with a 6-13 record after their 71-65 league win over Chandler Prep (Chandler, AZ).
