In Friday's league game, the West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY) football team were victorious over the visiting Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY), by a score of 33-12.

The Comets (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Bath County (Owingsville, KY). The Wildcats come into the 2A District 8 game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Bath County was knocked off by Martin County (Inez, KY), 27-0, in a league game.
