Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC), 60-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Newton-Conover upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Maiden (Maiden, NC) to play the Blue Devils in a South Fork 2A bout on Friday, January 18. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 4-11. Maiden lost 54-36 in their recent league bout against East Lincoln (Denver, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) in a South Fork 2A bout, on Friday, January 18. North Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 34-32 league win over Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC).
